SMT Adhesives

SMT Adhesives (Surface Mount Technology Adhesives) are specially formulated bonding materials used in PCB assembly to hold surface-mount components securely in position before and during the soldering process.

The adhesive is applied to selected locations on the PCB before component placement. Once the components are positioned and the adhesive is cured, it provides a strong mechanical bond that helps prevent component movement, misalignment or falling during subsequent handling and soldering operations.

SMT adhesives are particularly useful in double-sided PCB assemblies and wave soldering processes, where components mounted on the underside of the PCB must remain securely attached while the board passes through the soldering process.

The material can be applied using dispensing or stencil-printing methods and is designed to provide controlled application, rapid curing and reliable mechanical bonding for electronics manufacturing.
